Shop Review: An intense red color. Aromas of violet and blackcurrant enriched by hints of liquorice and black pepper. In the mouth it is full, round, slightly tannic and with a spicy note on the finish.
My Review: Intense buttery, oaky scent on the nose with a side of spicy fungus added to the mix. You can't avoid the tannic presence in this Syrah. A bit rough on the taste buds initially, but a sour apple type acidic finish makes this a decent table wine. Not too strong, but not a pushover wine to say the least.
Food: I did not have this with food.
